If you have a 60GB version of Ps3 yeah you can play Ps2 and Psx game fine.Yeah some version of the other Ps3 dosen't have Backward compatibillty.60GB are the best seller for Ps3 but i don't know if they are still make it again their now making a 80GB not so great,more space but not so great

it really depends on what PS3 ur using. if u have a 20 or 60GB then u have something called the emotion engine, if u have a 80GB then ur using a emulator. it also depends on what PS2 ur using because there are at least 8 or 9 upgrades of the PS2

No they just make more games compatible in each update, you don't download an emulator.

Thats because it has lower anti-aliasing the lower it is the more lines their are on the edge of everything thats the whole reason the ps3 has better graphics, lower anti-aliasing. the truth. games don't control the system graphics like anisotropic filtering lower on ps3 and anti aliasing lower on ps3.
