Jury instructions tell the jury what the STATUTE says. If the person is on trial for first degree murder, then the JURY instruction will be, if the defense has raised a defense, "To find the suspect guilty of murder, you must find, without any reasonable doubt at all, that he took the life of the victim, and that it was planned and purposeful and independent.

So laws are complex to make sure people know exactly what they can and cannot do. It surprises me that someone like you who is so outspoken doesn't realize this blatant and obvious reality, but then again, you have an agenda (as illustrated by your soap-box rant about people learning more and getting more upset blah blah etc etc at the end of every one of your comments, within which you make no points or disprove any of my points).

So they put "knowingly" in the statute. Then they have to put "without the owner's consent" in the statute or else people borrowing something can get arrested. THAT is why the law is so complex, because otherwise, filth will (and still does) slime through the cracks or loopholes created, because as I stated earlier, you can't be punished for something that isn't CLEARLY illegal.

You are mistaken on multiple levels, my friend. In order for the law to be "fair", people have to have adequate chance to know what is illegal. That is why the legal system is so complicated. If the statute said "it is a class A felony to take property that belong to another," someone could go to jail for taking property from someone else if they take someone else's chair mistaking it for their own.

JJ is my favourite, but Judge Milian is 2nd choice. She had every right to go off. That pipsqueak was making it bad for people in the legal system, and insulting a college she had ties with.
