I would way get this pending its reliable but i got so many files on my desktop that if it was like this it would be several layers deep and my icons will look like that old taipei PC game that has the tiles but mine would be made up of video and audio files with a few pix thrown in and a word document or two, I think this is cool how about this interface but using a touch screen

Very interesting and clever. But what problem is it solving? I don't have any problems with my current desktop set up. And neither do any of my friends that i asked. I also find the desktop 'here' to be both visually ugly and not very clear at all. Sorry about the negative comments, but thought it should be said.

true.. but this prototype version contains a lot more bugs.

i find the traditional icons ui give me a much faster work flow, bc i don't have time to stack silly icons and don't know what the icons are under the stack;

OH YEAH IN THE BETA

gah..this version is way better than the new beta version...it has tons of widgets and all!!

nope, it replaces ur explorer file browser too.

utterly amazing;

Seems cool, but very unpractical...

yep thats cool

Neat for a movie but a non-starter for the desktop. People don't have problems sorting out their icons or moving stuff around. People have problems finding stuff relevant to the task their are performing or figuring out interactions between applications.

I thought I was the only one that noticed! lol

Wow, impressive research in the field of advanced graphical user interfaces. People posting comments are under the misimpression that this is the 'final user interface', but instead this would be a single interactive 'element' of a new interface. For example, in the first graphical UIs in the 1980s, new conceptual 'interactive' elements were presented for interacting with information: Radio button, Checkbox, Listbox, scrollbar, etc which at the time were foreign but are common concepts today.

"conventional computer." ? All this does is replace your DESKTOP.

Interesting. But not practical.

Is the start menu or dock there still. This sounds really confusing and probably wont be practical any time soon.

This looks interesting, But I fail to see what is gained by lack of oraganization. It looks like things can be organized, just no where near as easy or quickly as it can be done on a conventional computer. I don't see this idea catching on, I doesn't look useful.

It's beautiful while useless

What tha hell is a centroid 1:08 All that fancy smancy jargon aint gonna make this idea look more smarter. Apple couldn't even pull this off on Macbooks, maybe with the app icons on a iphone and even still its a long shot

lol @ that brass shyt on his hand 0:12

This would be cool with a finger touch interface but not with a graphics pad and pen. I use one at work for graphics work and they are not as efficient as a mouse for desktop work. With a mouse you take your hand off the mouse and use the keyboard. With a pen you have to lay the pen down or put it in a holder which takes a lot more time. Plus graphic pens are delicate and you can't just drop them on the desk without risking damage so there is a sense of being careful while using them.

Maybe not pointless but it won't catch on. Sorry developer, nice try but I can see your stock falling fast

My desktop has worked fine for the past 15 years... if it isn't for you guys, you need to learn how to organize a bit better :/

It........ Loooooooooooooks......... AWESOME!!!!
