ok, I'm confused with hip snaps from left to right, do your feet stay flat on the ground, or do you raise your heel slightly? I have been watching other videos and see them doing it both ways???

okay its not the hips just move ur knees bac n forth...because when u have on the skirt it looks like ur hips r moving

The more you practice the better you'll be. Fluid moves like undulations, mayas, taxims will always require lots of drilling to maintain the fine muscle control.

Shimmies are all in the knees! All you're doing is moving your knees. Keep your butt loose, it just goes along for the ride. Your glutes should be totally relaxed.
